Google is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager III to lead Operational Technology (OT) and industrial cybersecurity initiatives across its global data center infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in industrial operations, cybersecurity, and technical program management who enjoys solving complex problems while working with cross-functional teams.
As part of Google's Data Center Central Operations team, you will be responsible for improving the security, reliability, and efficiency of industrial systems that support Google's data centers. These include equipment such as PLCs, electrical switchgear, mechanical systems, and other operational technologies. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, software, and infrastructure teams to develop and implement security strategies that protect critical facilities around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Lead information security programs for industrial equipment and facility assets across the LATAM region while managing global Operational Technology (OT) security initiatives.
Develop long-term security strategies and oversee the successful execution of security programs across multiple Google data centers.
Work closely with engineering, operations, and regional teams to strengthen the security posture of industrial control systems and operational technologies.
Identify security risks, improve business processes, and implement solutions that reduce vulnerabilities and enhance operational resilience.
Drive consistency and standardization across multiple sites by optimizing OT security programs and measuring their impact through business objectives and key performance indicators (OKRs).
Provide technical expertise on industrial control systems and influence decisions across Data Center Operations, Data Center Software, Engineering, and other technical teams.
What Google Is Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
At least 5 years of experience in technical program management.
Experience supporting daily operations within industrial environments such as power plants, manufacturing facilities, oil refineries, utilities, or similar operations.
Experience leading technical or cybersecurity programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing complex cross-functional projects.
Hands-on experience working in operational control rooms, manufacturing plants, utility facilities, or data center environments.
Strong understanding of Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control System (ICS) cybersecurity, including vulnerability management, threat assessments, and incident response.
Experience using data analytics, SQL, dashboards, or reporting tools to monitor program performance and communicate progress to leadership.
Compensation
Google offers a competitive compensation package for this position, including:
Base salary: $163,000 – $236,000 (USD), depending on experience and qualifications.
15% annual performance bonus target.
